Thursdays 5:00pm - 6:00pm (EDT)WHAT WILL THE AUDIENCE LEARN?The audience will learn how they can create positive and powerful shifts in their lives by asking two simple yet powerful questions of themselves when caught in a negative thinking spiral and also how they can create a positive roadmap for their brain and therefore their life, by harnessing the power of their own internal and external language.EPISODE SUMMARY:Alison Petty returns to Frank About Health to talk about how we can shift ourselves from a negative to positive mindset by asking ourselves two simple questions. The two questions that Alison offers are powerful and when used together, work perfectly to help us make the much needed shift into a positive mental space when we notice that negative mind chatter. We will explore the two questions during the show and Alison will explain why they work so effectively to easily and swiftly create positive change. Alison and I will also continue our discussion from the last episode on the power of language and how using positive words in our internal and external narrative enables us to create a powerful roadmap for our brain so that we can truly move forward and live the life we most desire and deserve. www.alisonpetty.comTune in for this healthy conversation at TalkRadio.nyc

This is the 3rd installment of Peter Wainberg's appearance on Frank About Health allowing us to introduce awareness of possible solutions for cardiac care and treatment alternatives to reduce, reverse and possibly prevent a heart attack or other cardiac event.During the 1st installment, Peter took over for Reatha who was in the hospital recovering from a heart attack which eventually was understood to be an infection surrounding her heart that was resolved but could have been more serious if the infection created cardiac arrest or heart attack. This led us to understand Peter's course that he presents to his clients that seek help in maintaining their heart health. His webinar last week was very helpful and proved to be a source of education that many patients need to supplement their ongoing treatment. Watch Reatha and Peter close out this mini-series with a discussion on her condition and his treatment recommendations for the future.https://myhearthandbook.com/ Reatha Grey: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0340663/ Peter Wainberg: https://freedomland.com/about/

Thursdays 5:00pm - 6:00pm (EDT)WHAT WILL THE AUDIENCE LEARN?The Audience will see the return of Danielle Swanson to Frank About Health and another episode on mental health and how it impacts Epilepsy and Relationships with Jeffrey Demitrack. We will have an open discussion on events that have been possible triggers for seizures and learn the "red flags' ' to be mindful to set healthy boundaries between yourself and those with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and related co-morbidities. EPISODE SUMMARY:People with epilepsy and mental illness are easy targets for a Narcissist! Whether it’s family members, friends, coworkers, or other people in your life, people with any type of illness need compassion and understanding from people.Whether conscious or not, narcissists view people with epilepsy or other neurological illness as vulnerable targets who can’t stand up for themselves. They like to emphasize how they have been an important figure to so many people in their life so people with Epilepsy assist in the enabling of that false narrative with their vulnerability which makes them the best targets both personally and in the workplace. The Triangulation, Gaslighting and Scapegoating happen in tandem in order to appear as the "savior" to those suffering with Epilepsy and related disorders; it can be a messy situation where typically survivors can learn techniques to avoid being subjected as they move forward. We will discuss the subtypes of Narcissism and how each relates to an epileptic patient and show how somatic responses can be used as signals to assist in the awareness of the person or environment they are in. This will be used to show how to minimize seizure risk and toxic relationships.https://www.instagram.com/stagesofepilepsy/ Tune in for this healthy conversation at TalkRadio.nyc

WHAT WILL THE AUDIENCE LEARN?There are several reasons to listen to this episode:1) It is the way that Frank About Health began as a show to eliminate the stigmas of Epilepsy and those that live with it.2) To learn more about Jeff's Book entitled: Dating in the Dark: A Memoir about Dating Disasters with Epilepsy, Anxiety, and Psychotic Breaks.3) Jeff's experiences with Epilepsy have made him become a mental health advocate so we will explore some of those issues and discuss how his appearance on Frank About Health will be the precursor to some new contributions to Frank About Health in 2023.EPISODE SUMMARY:For many years, Jeffrey Demitrack searched for a meaningful and fulfilling relationship and, most of all, hoped that one day he would find a significant other who understood and unconditionally accepted his struggles with epilepsy. People have their insecurities, and relationships already are hard without throwing seizures into the mix, so his search has been a challenging one. When first diagnosed with epilepsy at ten years old, he knew that society believed many negative stigmas about the terrible illness. This would surely be an obstacle when communicating about epilepsy to dates and potential partners. The stress of relationships, the anxiety of illness, and the impact of seizures on mood and behavior all played a part in making his interactions tough and, many times, traumatic.Tune in for this healthy conversation at TalkRadio.nyc
